| part of the gang of six 3 trillion savings is going to come from winding down the wars in Afganistan, and Iraq. Meanwhile they are condeming the House budget plan.....typical congressional smoke and mirrors. |

uh oh!
I hate to think that our $700M per day war in iraq will end. if we only gave it another decade or two i'm sure it will be a smashing success remember how we promised to "bomb vietnam back to the stone age" maybe that tactic doesn't work in a land where the stone age is considered the height of civilization |

We just don't have the fucking stones to do it anymore LineBacker II was a "smashing success" right until politicians fucked it all up and made us stop. |

Not new news...the dems have always assumed a huge savings ($Bs) from the wind down; only mistake is they are assuming a much faster wind down rate than what is actually occurring. |

I'll just assume, like everything else they touch, democrats don't understand the logistical costs of transporting the largest mechanized military on the globe half way across it? Not that I understand it, just sayin' |

Anyway, a lot of those trillions in savings you hear bandied about are "war ending" savings. |

How many times in the past has viet-congress PROMISED to cut spending in a future year –– only to INCREASE spending? Can't trust liars. |
| Called Saxby Chambliss office, told them I was DISAPPOINTED. She said, Oh, Gang of Six is working to DECREASE taxes for businesses, etc. I told her it is ALWAYS smoke and mirrors for these folks, just plain lies. Told her I would work to see him defeated in '14. |

Add those savings to what Obamacare is going to save us and pretty soon you are talking REAL money! http://www.newworldorderwar.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Obama-Dollar.png Hey, that a new toilet paper? |

Yes, but not such a large/expensive scale...and since they are the current source of our terrorism "problem" it makes sense to be there. Since Libya is the UK and France's source of oil, it makes no sense for US to be there. July 2010 Libyan oil makes up 4% of UK imports. (UK .gov: www.parliament.uk/briefing-papers/SN04046.pdf) Compared to 3% for USA, November 2010 (US .gov: http://northafrica.humanitarianresponse.info/Portals/0/Reports/Situation/Energy%20Information%20Administration%20Libya.pdf) Or 6%, 2011 (Russian Source: http://en.rian.ru/infographics/20110222/162716781.html) So yeah, not really. It's pretty clear that UK .gov isn't in Libya for (our) oil. |

They take us ALL for retards. Call them and start bitching By Telephone Alternatively, you may phone the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121. A switchboard operator will connect you directly with the Senate office you request. Every time I say the same thing (call/fax/e-mail...it's easy) I get the old "doesn't do any good", "they don't listen", "they're all crook/the same anyway" lines. You just have to elect the right ones...we (the nation) wouldn't be having this discussion if if weren't for a handful (70 or 80) of Tea Party Republicans who where elected last year...enough to turn the tide and give the RINOs the balance of power (if not fits). Wait 'til 2012. |

dunno how this will play out.
here's a thought though. the dems crammed through obamacare. in the end the country was pretty much against it and pissed at congress. just look at the last election. republikans were not involved for the most part because they couldnt even filibuster against it. now.. say it comes down to everybody is pissed and both sides decide to stand tough. republikans need to be careful that they dont get pegged standing in the way of things working out. come hell or high water they are sticking by their principals and rejecting everything that does not meet the hardcore right's agenda. of course i would like to see the hard core agenda passed but it aint gonna happen. if anything happens both sides are gonna get slammed by their true believers. is an important strategic battle in a very important ongoing struggle against off-the-reservation liberalism. the main battle is coming up in 2012 and its best to keep that in mind. but whatever happens very few are gonna be pleased. |

GET to Bitching folks....it does work. |

Quoted: Quoted: All of the problems in the Middle East could be solved in extremely short order with hardware that was paid for long ago. do we still have enough sitting in the silos? I'll bet we have enough in mobile tubes right here in Groton, CT to do a pretty convincing job. |

Therein is the problem with current-baseline-budgeting; the budget always grows from today's number. |
