BTW: who are we at war with again? Fucking proles made me double-plus forget. I watched the movie on Google last week (again). This time it struck me that the war doesn't have to be literal. Try these on for size. The War on Poverty, the War on Drugs the campaign to save the environment. Orwell's "wars" don't have to be military in nature. The War on Poverty is probably the closest in modern times that meet the Orwellian "war." |
