I get the sinking feeling that all this bluster is just cover for a deal that's been in the work from the get go. Like they are all in cahoots to fuck the American people as a whole.
There will be no change until they are all out, all of them. The RINO's are no better than the liberals; liberals are fucking us now, RINO's just want to wait a bit. Until some no-shit Constitutionalists are in power, nothing changes. Congress has forfeited all its power to the President by not impeaching for violating Article 1 Section 8 and the War Powers Act, which also takes power from Congress. They have willingly given it away. When they cave, that's it I'm done with them. I have written my Congressman and told him basically all the above, with more diplomatic language. End of rant |

The number one priority of both sides is keep what is happening in the streets of Greece from happening here. They do not want to have the streets filled with pissed-off people. Therefore, they will not cut entitlements to any great degree. They will cut the only Federal programs that are really useful (DoD and NASA) painfully but this will only eliminate a very small fraction of their spending. We will end up just like the Weimar Republic. |

End of rant I can't put my finger on it, but there's been something sort of sheepish or scripted about the principals' interviews throughout this "crisis". As if they're nervous that someone will be on to them this time. Maybe I'm paranoid (actually it's almost assured that I'm paranoid), but they (Boehner, Obama, Bernanke, etc) have seemed "funny" on this one. |

End of rant As far as the budget goes, the D's want to drive towards the cliff at 60 mph, the R's think we should slow down to 30 mph. We are fucked either way.
