I watched it, so that is better than 99% of the stuff out there. Was more quite about it's politics than SG1 - SG1 was both anti-gun and anti-religion. When the dinosaur roamed the earth, I was fairly liberal and enjoyed studying comparative religions. A general consensus at that time was that religions tend to exist as long as they are ultimately beneficial to the people/society. They tend to wane when they cease being beneficial. Often religions were used as tools of government, but as tools they created a more prosperous society (even if that goal was self serving to the religion/government). I don't think SG1 ever showed a religion that was not utterly destructive to individual or human society. |

Just looked up the wiki... A feature film based on the series is being developed[1] and may possibly be produced by 2013.[2]
I predict massive fail. |

i liked him better as Jack o neil on SG SG1. imo, i thought McGyver was too much antigun. I never really took it as anti gun. He just doesn't like to use them. I have nothing against that. Except for in the pilot episode where he shoots at some chicom soldiers with an AK. |

Macgrooober Explosives were already highly regulated and not generally used for defense by civilians. A recent series of interviews showing the liberal bias of Hollywood made it explicit that the show had anti intent. |

Like most series of this type, I liked it until it went all environmental and junk. ByteTheBullet (-: Bingo. I still remember his stupid anti-gun episode. Last one I ever watched. I might rematch the first season, the commies were still the bad guys back then.... |

I remember one time he needed close the valve nut on a gas cylinder so he open the cylinder on a revolver and used the the frame for a wrench. He said something to the effect of "Finally, a good use for these things." I was just about to post that one. |
