Hello guys, I'm thinking of picking up my first GPS unit for my truck, and I'm looking for your advice. I want something simple and easy to use, and I don't care about all the bells and whistles. Anything come to mind?

Tom-Tom and Magellan. Got a laptop? Microsoft Streets & Trips with a GPS receiver. I have used all of these. Simple and easy.

Make sure it's the widescreen model.

If you shop wisely - it comes with a free 'Traffic Alert' antenna built into the powercord.

I'm not a huge fan of Magellan. They've got terrible support as well as customer service from my experience. I like my Garmins though.

Another Garmin fan.. User friendly and generally reliable with directions. I  use the GPS as a back-up and for gas / food info.  Always know in advance the route you will travel on a trip!

I like Garmin.  I use a 60CSX for my off road activities.  It also works well in town for what I need.

I HATE the traffic alert ones. They're often wrong, from what I've seen.
