I had to shut off the Ac. Getting all gritty in the house. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile You need to work on sealing up your house. Your electric bill will thank you. Seriously. Your AC unit recycles the air within the house. It doesn't draw in any air from outside, unless you have leaky windows/door. Then, the slight vacuum created by your unit will pull air in through the cracks and crevices. If you can get that sealed up, you'll pull in less hot air and your AC won't work as hard. |

Older construction may have swamp coolers which will draw the dust in. And not many central distribution systems are leak free, when routed through the attic, some loss there will create negative pressure inside. |

Just about no one does here anymore. And if he did, he wouldn't be using it today. Too humid to work very well. |

A lot of people run both out here, most people know what they got. Swamp coolers run with an opening to the outside to move the air. AC recycles. I prefer AC but swamp coolers can be ok sometimes. I could only see halfway down my street and it looked more white than brown. Pretty cool. |

About how many times in a year do you folks get 'haboobed'? -Or, do these storms tend to have-peak year occourences like hurricanes? The occur during our monsoon season. Julyish through end of Augustish. If conditions are right they can happen every evening. Seems we get a few gnarly ones every year though. |

During monsoon season this can be a daily thing. Just not always with this much dirt. |
