Should be called "Sleep". Boring music to me. Extremely boring. It's perfect, with a ton of energy. What do you listen to? As far as electronic music I like The Prodigy and Chemical Bros. type stuff. I know what I like when I hear it and most of what was posted IMO is just blah. Typical slow building, one layer at a time keyboard music. The mixes seem flat to me. Just my opinion though, no offense meant. |

Trance can be beautiful. You don't lose any manhood points for recognizing it as such. This coming from the same guy who thinks that no bright, beautiful summer morning is complete without birds singing in the air and Swallow The Sun resonating through your car's sound system. And Kudos for the Atheris avatar...fucking sick. |

Unfortunately the muffled tone makes me feel like I've rocked an M249 without hearing protection. I can't help walking away from this computer wanting to see an audiologist. |

I find most trance music to be soulless. Some is good. If you want to hear where trance came from, find and listen to Jean Michel Jarre's Equinoxe:
Equinoxe––Jean Michel Jarre It came out about 30 years ago. If you're old enough, you might recognize that some of it was used in Carl Sagan's Cosmos, along with Vangelis (whose music never really did it for me). I wore out two LPs of it back in the day, then got my hands on a high quality German CD version. I heard things on the CD I never did on the LP. The Youtube version above does not do it justice. The first movement is grand, the second is kinda slow, the rest gets up and goes. It's great driving music. Used to just call it "space music". Also try old Tangerine Dream like Force Majeur, or the movie soundtrack from Thief with James Caan. |

Just my opinion though, no offense meant. The Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method & The Prodigy, are all mainstream shitty techno. They have absolutely nothing to do with trance. It's a completely different vibe. |

I love listening to this at work all day but could use some help.
I have been buying mostly the various State of Trance albums from Amazon. I end up not caring for many of the songs. I prefer some of the faster, “ harder” if you will tracks but most tracks are too mellow. Is there another similar style that maybe I am missing? Little less singing? Harder, faster beat? Thanks |

I've never taken Trance seriously. Time to broaden my musical horizons.
Is there anything along the lines of heavy industrial kill em all trance? - With a dash of Vikings/Berserkers, Axes, fire trucks and hookers? If I could find some Trance that is a blend of Seppuku Paradigm, and Folk Metal, I would be in heaven. I think. Is that possible ?
