I find his stage presence to be that of an unhappy guy, and his closely related sarcasim to be very un-funny. His TOP 10 gig is old & worn ot, and also un-funny; except for the Kool-Aid drinking studio audience laughing when the flashing sign tells them to. Notice there is no lingering laughing after the sign goes off; it ends on cue everytime.
About once a year, I give him a 5 minute opportunity to reinvent himself , but he never lets me down with his misunderstood premise that his Verbal Put-Downs and Physical Mannerisums somehow equals Humor. Money aside, he comes across to me like he's just really tired of the whole thing. Again, it's just not funny. With the notable exception of Mr. Mel Gibson, Letterman is probably my 2nd best example that life may not be so good up at the top. He may argue otherwise, and that's OK too. |

Not knowing what the OP is talking about, but I am sure it is about Dave Letterman ripping on Michelle Bachmann's mix up with John Wayne and John Wayne Gacy.
Of course what is really funny is John the killer clown Wayne Gacy was a HUGE Democrat, just like Letterman

| A local radio station here plays Leno's monologue, Letterman's top 10 and Craig Killborn's monologue every morning. My observations: Leno might want to think about doing away with the monologue for awhile, because most of the jokes are pitiful. Letterman should stop doing the top 10 every night, because they're really dragging the bottom of the barrel and the laughs just aren't there anymore. Killborn does have some good jokes and is consistently funnier than Leno or Letterman. |
