Ok Ok ...so like I know I am not a newbie... However!! I have a stupid question that has been nagging me for some time.. " Tap RACK BANG" Ok so I think that Tap might be to Tap the mag on your helmet, hand etc to ensure that all the cartridges are seated properly... Rack....well thats an easy one...rack the action of the firearm....ok got that one.. BUT what is Bang?? Is it another action? Or is it the Bang of the shot??? |
| I don't know the answer to that, but I did learn where 'lock and load' came from. It did seem silly with modern guns to say 'lock and load', but in the breech loader days, 'lock' was lock the hammer to the rear, and 'load' was open the breech and insert a round, thus 'lock and load' in that order. I know, doesn't answer your question, just wanted to share that, since I have seen many answers to that question. |

Tap: Tap the mag in the mag well to make sure it is seated. "Slap" the bottom of the mag. Rack: Rack the action Bang: What to gun should do when trigger is pulled. I do the following: Tap: Tap the mag in the mag well Tug: Tug the mag to make sure it is seated Rack: Rack the action Bang!! Av. |
