There's always that second or two between the time the injury occurs and when the pain sets in.  It's just enough time to say to yourself, "That was REALLY f**king stupid, and this is REALLY going to hurt."

I hate those couple of seconds.

Oh, should have said HECK.

My bad.

Reached into my pocket to get some money for a guy to buy a pistol and somehow my Sog trident's blade had come out...I gave my my pinkie a nice slash. It bled a LOT. All of this took place at the Fort Worth, TX Gun show today. Went to the bathroom with some napkins wrapped around it until it stopped bleeding 15 minutes later.

Pics in five, my iphone just died from the battery being so low...

No worries at all - just happened to catch it.

My extended family owns a processing facility, and as a result, we have all of their old professional-quality deboning knives laying around my parent's house.

My wife and I were house sitting for my parents a few months ago, and my wife decided to put them in the dishwasher after using them - on the top shelf.  When she went to get the dishes out, she pulled the top shelf out and the knife fell about 6".  It cut the top of her hand, between the thumb and forefinger, halfway through.  It was gruesome.

After we stopped the bleeding, we verified she didn't have any numbness of loss of motor control in that hand, put some antibiotic ointment on it, and bandaged her up.  No use going to the doctor for him to look at it, put some antibiotic ointment on it, and bandage it up .

You really have more respect for knives when you see what they can do to a person, even on accident.
