[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Get Off My Lawn.......Code Red!!!!! (Page 1 of 2)
| I don't think I could call either of these guys a friend but that old guy went over the line imho. The codger was far more disrespectful than the kid. He could have made at least 1 attempt to be civil and try to get the kid's cooperation. After the initial push I wouldn'd have blamed the kid for decking him. |

That place looks suspiciously like where my aunt and uncle live here in eastern NC. And assholes like that are typically the type of folks I've found living there. Anybody know where this spot is?
ETA: I heard Florida. And I doubt I'd have had as much patience as that kid did. |
|
The old man was a prick but the kid stepped into a man's shoes when he should have just left and let his parents know what went on. Instead he choose to argue with an adult. Now because of his actions if he trespasses on this man property and the cops get called he will have to accept adult consequences. An I don't think the old man will back off from filing charges it will be on principle. Not only that but there is video evidence that the boy was told to stay off the property. If he had just left and got the adults involved maybe something could have been worked out but I don't think there is any chance of that happening now |
|
Something tells me there is a lot more to this and it was setup to make the old guy look bad.
Sounds like they are letting their dogs off leash on other people's property to shit, since the kid said his area is gated. ETA: Kid was loking for a fight, why else would they be recording. |

The kid gave the old dude plenty of opportunity to be more polite and ask for cooperation but the guy was obviously an asshole who thinks he's a lot tougher than he really is. |

Everyone has a phone that can record these days. Wouldn't say he was looking for a fight just wanted to be able to show his parents are the cops what the old man said. He will also need this evidence to prove the old man assaulted him. |

Kids record everything nowadays. The old guy was stupid. |

I did see him assault the boy and the boy should have left long before that even happened he was a smart ass from the start. It was also he who spoke first asked the old man if he was the one who flipped him off. He should have never said a thing it was not his place. He should have left and got his parents or keep his mouth shut. This is a teenager not an adult he has no right to ask anyone for cooperation. Again he should have left and got an adult preferably his parents who are property owners near by the lake. It also doesn't matter how the old man talked to him. Yes the old man was very rude and a asshole but what he was saying was not wrong. The boy had already admitted to trespassing from the very start of the video. Maybe so but wait and see what happens when law enforcement gets involved he may not be as tough as he thinks but he has the law on his side. Only thing the kid has going for his is the man assaulted him other than that he is in the wrong he should have left he is not and adult he should have got his parents involved. |
| Why should the kid have any less standing than an adult in this case? If I were the old guy I sure as shit wouldn't want the police seeing this video. All of the leverage the old guy had got wiped away when he put his hands on the kid first. Like I said, he was stupid. |

Assaulting a minor is sort of a big deal. He pushed him he didn't hit him with a closed or open hand. Not a big deal The trespassing charge and fine would be worse ETA: Also the kids parents could be on the hook for monetary damages for the dog shitting and pissing in his yard. That shit kills the grass if does it in one spot repeatedly. An because he admitted doing it in the video he could take the rap for the other dog owners who walk in the yard as well, he got caught they didn't. |

Aside from being a snarky young guy. He had more restraint that most of todays youth.
If I were in the kids shoes, It probably would of went downhill at the first God damn. Then really gone down hill when he started using the Fbomb. Especially with the younger girl there. She was in the first twenty seconds of the video and looked about six or so. |

I think that was only because he knew the camera was rolling. Yea but your an adult he is just a teenager. |

Yea but your an adult he is just a teenager. There was fail on both sides. But I believe the old codger gave more than his fair share of it. |

![]() what an idiot. why go off your own property and assault someone on public land, and caught on tape. that older guy has everything to lose and nothing to gain by his actions. what exactly he had planned to accomplish i do not know. i could see maybe having this conversation if the kid was caught in the act and refused to leave the property, but this seems to be threats after the fact. |
| Sure it was a cranky old guy and he got played the kids. Not impressed with anyone, but seriously have any of you ran your mouth, pushed a guy's buttons, and recorded a setup like that on some old enough to be your gramps? There've been plenty of ole cranky men like that for generations, this is new wave of youth. |

Quoted: Sadly that whole entire incident was racially motivated. I bet that old guy would walk down and shoot the shit with any of his white neighbors walking their dog through his "property". RIGHT it must be because he is black not that the boy was trespassing onto private property while walking his walking his dog and allowing him to shit on the man's property. I also bet it was not the first time. The old man is properly tired of having to clean up his yard from other people trespassing and leavening trash and allowing their pets to shit and piss on his property (which will kill the grass if it is done in the same spot enough) just so he can enjoy his property that he owns an pays taxes on. No respect for private property. I guess because he is black the old white guy owes him something because of slavery and segregation and that he should just give up his property rights to this kid because he should feel guilty. Maybe he should deed his home over to him too. Maybe the state some come in and take his property and give it to him as reparations. If it was because he was black how come he didn't make any racial comments to him? Don't think he was worried about getting his ass kicked he had no problem getting in the boys face and pushing him. He likely didn't even know he was being recorded. If you watch the video you will see the kid who is not an adult initiated the conversation with the old guy. Not only that he turned on his video recorder before the guy even walked up so that when he confronted him he could have it on video. This is not an adult he is a teenager he had already disrespected the man buy trespassing on private property an then he has the nerve to confront an adult for telling him to leave his property. An from what he said in the video I'm sure he has no respect for private property. He is a teenager not and adult and should have kept his mouth shut but he didn't from the moment he saw the old guy he planned on confrontation. It is sad that it is always about race with some people. It is also just as sad that people here think it is ok for a child or teenager to challenge an adult. This is part of the problem with this country today kids have no respect for adults or know there place in society. They all want to be adults but when it comes time to be and adult an accept adult consequences that run to mommy and daddy. |

Cranky old bastard, bout to get that ass beat. I am ok with this. As an old fart, I too am OK with this. You would think someone that old would have better people skills, he really crossed the line by putting his hands on the young guy. What a jerk! |
