Bought a game that comes out tomarrow 2 weeks ago, i think i shouldnt have to worry about standard shipping hell its 2 weeks before it even comes out.
Check my status today it wont even be shipped till the day AFTER it comes out and i wont get it till an estimated 13th of this month and on top of the they refuse to let me cancel my order even tho it has not even shipped yet. (i called them on the phone and they say well its ABOUT to ship so we cant do it hahaha) owned haha |

They process your order within 1 business day of the game being released, and shipping will take an estimated 4 business days. What did you expect? They were going to magically ship your game before it's released so that it'll arrive the morning of the release date?

Amazon already received the game. The whole point of pre-ordering on the Net is that the game is supposed to arrive on your doorstep on release day. I don't really buy much in the way of physical media online, but I would be really surprised if an online company's contract with the game company would allow them to ship before the release date. Shipment time frames are way too inconsistent to risk getting a game delivered a few days before it's released. I'm guessing the suppliers don't allow them to ship until the release date. ETA: I see the link on Amazon, and I'm surprised game companies will allow that. Either way, I don't see what the big deal is. If you want it today, go buy it today in a store.
According to the link OP, it looks like you selected "Standard shipping" instead of "release day shipping", so your order will ship after the game is released. Sounds like it's your own fault. |

Unless a product is physically in the amazon warehouse, they tend to predict longer than expected lead times. This is to give themselves a little bit of buffer for the unexpected and to prevent customers from getting all butthurt. Seems the exact opposite has happened here. It is quite possible that even though the game is released tomorrow they still don't have it yet and trucks are bringing them in. I would see what happens tomorrow. |

dude amazon rocks
As a medical student I get free Amazon Prime, which means I get free 2-day shipping on most items My fiance and I registered for our wedding on there and it's awesome. Our guests are all spread out so now we have one consolidated source online so if the store isn't in their town it's no problem. Plus they can buy our gift and ship it straight to us or ship it on the wedding day or ship it to themselves and bring it. I pre-ordered Black Ops and Medal of Honor on amazon and I got both on the release day. I think you did something wrong, OP And they always overestimate their shipping times. I have not had one complaint about Amazon, and I use it frequently. |

did you put "release date delivery"? i have ordered two games for "release date delivery" and have had it at my house when I got home from work both times. Sounds like OP tried to cheat the system by taking standard delivery instead. They are not allowed to deliver the game until the release date. There is no way to guarantee delivery date when the delivery window is 5-10 days. So they offer a service called "release date delivery", which is shipped via a more expensive, yet reliable, delivery method that will arrive on the release date. They even call it "release date delivery" so there is no confusion. Amazon.com isn't the problem. |

If it's that important to you, go to walmart at midnite - they (at least the ones near me) put the games out at 00:01 on release day. |

For some reason this thread reminds me of my college roomate Dan, who with no vehicle, asked me to drive him to Best Buy. Sure. He goes in and drops $70 on a new video game. He goes "I only have $72 in my account, if it's more than that, can you spot me the difference?" Um, no.
Ahhh priorities. |
