I've seen LEDs in Red and Blue. I can see the Red for night vision etc. What is the purpose of Yellow Green LEDs? Is it just preference?

Thanks. I've never used NVGs. I am debating my next flashlight purchase. I ordered a Fenix TK 40 (I usually only buy surefire and the occasional streamlight) and it doesn't work. Gonna send it back.

Looking to pull the trigger on Surefire Aviator A2 with Green Yellow LEDs. 129 bucks.
Wish it were red or blue though.
