I'm 35 and I text my wife pretty often. There's a whole bunch of times I need a yes or no answer or I'm simply giving her a short "heads up" about my whereabouts or dinner plans or something, I don't feel the need to go through all of the "Hey baby, how's your day going?" bull shit a phone call normally entails. Texting works great for that kind of shit. Saying that texting is only for teenage girls is a little like saying internet forums are only for teenage boys.

Though I will admit we don't sext each other, ever.
