Nope, just a tried and true Conservative with a Minnesoooooda twang.

I love her.

IIRC, she voted for the patriot act. Other than that, ?

Scandals?  She had FIVE children with her husband.  That here is a scandal among some.  Then they fostered 23 children.  That is just crazy

Then there are those who attack her JD from Oral Roberts University.

But in my book, she is decent.  For a lawyer.

"What I love about New Hampshire and what we have in common is our extreme love for liberty," the potential GOP presidential candidate said. "You're the state where the shot was heard around the world in Lexington and Concord. And you put a marker in the ground and paid with the blood of your ancestors the very first price that had to be paid to make this the most magnificent nation that has ever arisen in the annals of man in 5,000 years of recorded history."

"I'm thankful that you are the first in the nation state because you are the liberty state," Bachmann said. "That is your charge. You keep that baton of liberty. You've done it very well for almost 20 generations from the time the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock, and I'm sure the very first one came up to New Hampshire and said, ‘This is where I want to be.'"

She seems to Dan Quayle herself a lot (see history quote above), so her liability is being thought of as a lightweight to the MSM and the moderates.

And, as much as I hate it, that perception is what wins and loses elections.

I like her tho.

Bingo.

Do you remember about 6 months ago or so someone posted a link to an article that discussed the MSM doing their best to slander every conservative as stupid, uneducated, unqualified, etc.? You need to look no further than Palin, but just follow the GOP Presidents backward and recollect all the bad things said about Bush Jr., Sr., Reagan, etc.

She is a tax attorney and she is for the fair tax. The fair tax would end

That shit is laughable... laughable.

The more the media displays their fearful obsession over Sarah Palin, the more popular she becomes.

How does that work?

Maybe you should take your clues from what the people on your side of the issues think and not from the bought and paid for propagandizing mainstream media.

I have said this before... My *only* problem with her was her 2nd SOTU response for the Republican Party.

Ryan, who in my opinion was an excellent choice, was picked by the Republican Party to give the "official" Republican response to Obama's SOTU speech.

He did a good job, by the way. Ryan is a good conservative. Obama, the very next day followed up Ryan's rebuttal with *three* campaign speeches in Ryan's home state.

Bachman made a poor string of decisions that culminated in her giving the Republican "Tea Party" response after Ryan's rebuttal.

Obama was scared of Ryan at the time of his SOTU. Obama was scared of the unified front of the Republican party at the time of his SOTU speech. Obama sounded like a moderate at his SOTU. He, his policies, and the Democrat party had just been beated fair-and-square by the Republican party in the recent election the previous November.

Bachman's second response to Obama's speech showed Obama the cracks in the Republican party. Bachman's second response to Obama was music to his ears.

I could understand Bachman, or another hard-line Republican fighting the Republican party on a hard response, if they picked a pansy. If they picked Romney to give the response, I could almost see her point.

But Ryan. Ryan kicks Obama's ass everytime he gives a speech... Bachman was only looking for airtime. She was only looking to keep her name in the airwaves... And promoting herself came secondary to presenting a unified front against Obama.

I would vote for Bachman in a heartbeat, if she runs.

But I was disapointed when she gave a second Republican Party response and called it the "Tea Party" response. She ran and won as a Republican... But when it is inconvenient for her to stand in the shadows for half a second, she decided to go her own way...  And Obama's ears perked up, and he thought... "So there are some Republicans willing to split the party in an effort to keep me in office..."

I would vote for Bachman in a split-second if she is the candidate... I am not sure she can appeal to moderates... And she would need Ryan's support, and the support of the rest of the Republican party if she want's to win... She would need the loyalty of the Republican party if she were to win, and loyalty, and a unifiied front is something she failed to show after the SOTU...

Is she a good conservative who values 2nd Amendment Rights. Yes. and I would vote for her without even needing to think about it in the election. But, can she win the moderates who Obama is trying to appeal to? That should also be a question on the minds of Republicans who want to beat Obama...

There are also too many liberals and people who want the benefits continued indefinitely, since they might be next in the unemployment line.
