Was this a good movie?

Was it about the pictures that Hubble is taking, or is it all about the shuttle mission to fix it?

I saw it at the Kansas Cosmosphere just a few weeks ago. It's about the launch, operation, repairs and upgrades to Hubble, as well as some of the fantastic images it has captured during its time in orbit. It's a terrific piece of work.

Is it worth it to watch it on a TV, or is it something that won't look right unless you see it in IMAX?

I saw it in IMAX 3D at a museum of Texas History next to the state capitol in Austin.  It was great.  I think the 2D version is currently showing on some cable channels.

It shows the last Hubble repair mission, plus many astronomical photos.  Recommended.

I liked it but thought there was too much crew footage and not enough stars. They mixed CGI in with the photos which bugged me a bit. But definitely worth a trip to see.

We saw the preview. There was a scene with an astronaut floating in space. I noticed a kid reach out to try and touch it. Very good 3d effect.

Saw it in IMAX 3D and it was jaw-dropping.  Some of the stereo-ized shuttle footage was incredible, especially watching the orbiter buck against the mounts when they lit the main engines prior to the SRB fire.  The CGI flythrough of the stellar nursery was mind-boggling.

I really don't think you'll get the full effect anywhere but an IMAX theater.
