Do NOT take Vicodin after consuming alcohol.
My arm was hurtin' something fierce last night. I had drank a brew or 6, no big deal. Grabbed a couple Vikes and washed 'em down not even thinking, just wanted pain relief. Passed the fuck out within 30 minutes. Whoops!
On a related note, it did stop the pain! But it caused another when I found myself not sleeping in bed and now have a nasty crick in my neck this morning. |

I like the tail end of the recovery phase of a serious injury...
1) No meds during day. 2) 1700: Drive home from work. 3) Arrive home 1800: Pop number one, pour drink. 4) 2200: three drinks deep, pop number two. 5) Midnight: brush teeth, pop number three, get in bed, turn out lights, marvel at crazy dreams and brilliant ideas |

But we hate druggy scum at Arfcom, right? Or is it different if you are getting loaded on prescription pills? Just sayin' I think you'll find a large portion of ARFCOM is OK with folks doing what they want to to their own bodies, as long as it doesn't involve a uterus. |

I have 30 to last me the year. I've gone through 4 in 4 months and all last night/today. Watch out, I'm on a binge! I hate taking medications. I did lots of fishing yesterday and my injury was killing me. Shoulda toughed it out. Oh, and I don't dream usually. I did have a funky dream last night that I'm just now remembering. It was weird. |

When done properly, it will bring a smile to your face. like any good art should. It's all just a responsible part of the healing process. |

I am disappoint. |

We can't go one day w/o having a thread where numerous people say that all drug users should be shipped to an island, jailed forever, shot, etc. |

Different people are affected differently. By the end of the day Saturday, I had taken 5 vicodin and probably drank about half a bottle of vodka (in addition to some other pain meds like ibuprofen). No passing out, vivid dreams or liver failure - just a reduction in pain enough to allow me to fall asleep. |

I was on a shitload of prescription painkillers..and was told NOT to take with alcohol due to liver damage.. would rather have smoked a bowl, but that isn't kosher in in Fla with the VA... |

Alcohol + acetaminophen = liver damage I'm pretty sure copious amounts of alcohol takes care of the liver damage already. ![]() Just you wait until that check liver light comes on.
Is that what that spots floating around in my vision are? Better go to Auto Zone to use the computer reader for free. |

Quoted: I always thought the "alcohol may intensify effects" thing was a helpful hint, not a warning. ![]() Me too. I totaled my Mustang in 2007, and my back was sore from the sudden and violent deceleration that went along with the impact of the crash. Tylenol with codeine plus one shot of jagermeister and I was sound asleep at night. I did this two nights in a row and by day 3 I was as good as new. Those were probably the best two nights sleep I ever had. ![]() |

If you want to drink then get a painkiller that is just opiates, not one that is 90% tylenol. It retarded that they won't sell straight hydrocodone here, but that's fallout from the war on drugs. They deliberately made it more toxic to discourage abuse. Actually I don't want to combine them. Just spur of the moment, not thinking. I really don't care for the combined effects. Strangely enough I do value most of my liver. |

a-bare "Not to be taken with alcohol" isn't an admonition, it's a brazen challenge. |
