| Got ahold of a 16gb 3GS for cheap. It has a broken screen, looks like both the glass and LCD need replacing. Anyone have experience replacing them, or can you recommend a good place to get it done for a decent price? I'll probably sell it when it's fixed. |
| I took mine to a "I fix all phones, all kinds, all problems" idiot and got a non-apple aftermarket screen. You can see little cross hairs or marks in a pattern on it, and it made the phone shut down if you twisted the phone in your pocket or grabbed it wrong. Get a real apple product. |
| I think you could do it yourself. Take the two little screws by the speaker out, then get a suction cup and pull the screen out. I think there are a couple things to unplug then. Plug the new screen up, press the screen into the phone, and put your screws back. I saw a guy at work replace his. |

I think it is around $100 for a replacement. |

I'll have to give it a shot. I just successfully tore my BB Tour completely down to clean the lint out of the trackball mechanism, and it feels like a whole new machine. Took it farther than I needed to, but got everything back together, and it's working... Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
