I posted earlier about this but things have gone from bad to worse. My father (56) was diagnosed with gallbladder cancer which has spread to his liver. He is a healthy guy, exercises, lean non drinker. Just had a physical a few months ago and all was good.  First thing most ask is why not just take out the gallbladder? Unfortunately this does not work in this type of case. The Docs have painted a pretty grim picture, to the point of possibly forgoing treatment so that he can live out what time he has left without those complications too. He has always been a great Dad to me and an Grandpa to my boys, I just can't wrap my head around him not being with us.

I have no siblings and not much in the way of close family. Worried about my Mom too, she is just slowly crying herself sick. I just ask that you pray for them, please. We are going to another cancer center Monday in hopes they might tell us something different but with cancer this rare I just don't know.  Thanks

Prayers sent.

My father was diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma. We did lots of research and found that no one survives. After seeking several opinions he chose not to take treatment to prolong things for a month or two while being sick the whole time. (he knew what was involved from taking chemo 10 years before). I believe he made the right choice for his situation.

Your mother will need lots of support.

I have a feeling my Dad will do any treatment they will offer, not so much for him but just to give my mother some hope. He's just that type of guy. Depending on what we hear on Monday will just have to go from there. Thanks for all the prayers
