I've always though he's just a sideshow.  But I have to say that his persistence and tenacity is very appealing to me.  Everybody else pussy-foots around and is scared to ruffle feathers,  but this guy is a pit-bull.  He wouldn't be my first choice in most circumstances given that his politics aren't ideal for me(as every other possible Rep. besides Cain),  but unless somebody else steps up and takes it to the enemy like this guy is doing;  I'm getting more and more toward getting behind him.

What say you?

He's my first choice.

if he really gave a shit about America he'd throw his support behind Ron Paul.

I think he'd get a lot accomplished as far as cutting debt and reducing our bullshit expenses (do we really need to help Africa battle AIDS?).

Other issues...eh...not so confident.

Trump, Springer,  Beck, Sharpton.

Big antics, Big Egos, Big dollars for a product that, let's face it, is exciting!  I feel more alive now that Trump investigators "Can't believe what they're finding!".

I'm filled with hope.  I like talk of nightmares, ancestry, and conspiracies in American politics.  Why should Italy and Korea have the market cornered on circus politics?

He's sort of an assclown, but I'm listening.

If Trump actually makes it onto the ballot and gets any significant amount of the vote, I'll be convinced that we are indeed living in the world of Idiocracy.

I actually know a few people that are good acquaintances with him...actually regular folks. Trump even invited them personally to the recent roast.

I've never met him, but apparently he's a very nice guy.

Yeah,  I can come up with several things I don't like about him.  But the fact is that he's the only one getting with taking it to them.  I'd prefer Allen West or Herman Cain personally,  but they're not in the front blasting day after day.  I think they could both effectively batter Obama,  but they won't get the coverage to make it into the mainstream so the sheeple that don't pay attention can see.

At this point,  I'm just looking for anybody that can realistically send Obama packing.  If he's the only chance,  I'm with him regardless of my dislikes.

Ah, before we start with the "I don't like this or that"  "Trump is a bum" "He donated $$$ to the dems"

Here's how it works. The dems nominate a guy. The Righties nominate a guy. Dems vote for their guy and the other side does the same. Do people cross party lines? Sure. But not enough to make a difference.

The swing vote is what makes it. The undecided. The idiots ! I know. I was one of them. I'm smarter than everyone else. I'm gonna listen and then decide. I'm gonna use my brain...... I was such a dumb kid !

You get a guy who is good looking, confident, succesfull. And you pump him up all you can. Obama was a nobody until he went on Opra. All the wimmenz swooned and started ovulating in the studio. The dems say "Hey, we could win with this guy" Billyboy was a popular guy. Then he shows up on MTV and plays his saxaphone "OMG, what a cool dude. I'm voting for him" Reagan was an actor and nobody took him seriously. The Rebs. didn't think he could carry it but people loved him. Turned out as one of our most loved Presidents.

Nobody in the middle cares about integrity. They care about the issues. Current issues.... Show up, wave and make alot of promises. If your confident and attractive= you win ! ! ! ! !

Trump has a better chance of winning than anybody on our side of the coin. And no mater what your gpire is he'd probably do this country right.

Consider this, obama is bad but in second term as a lame duck. Holy crap guys....... It's gonna be the end of the America we grew up in.....

I find it terribly unlikely the GOP will nominate him.  But if he somehow did get the nomination I would vote for him.  How could anyone be worse than Obama?

He better not pull a Perot and split the opposition vote.  He'll hand it over to Obama.

He will say what needs to be said. The non-PC stuff. He'll call Obama a damn communist hell-bent on destroying the country, while the John McCains of the world recoil in shock. I don't necessarily know that he should or would win or get a nomination, but we NEED him in this race to point out the shit that the electable candidates don't have the sack to say.

Here's some stuff from his own book...

Gun Control
It’s often argued that the American murder rate is high because guns are more available here than in other countries. Democrats want to confiscate all guns, which is a dumb idea because only the law-abiding citizens would turn in their guns and the bad guys would be the only ones left armed. The Republicans walk the NRA line and refuse even limited restrictions.
Source: The America We Deserve, by Donald Trump, p.102 Jul 2, 2000

Assault Weapons Ban / Manditory Waiting Periods
I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today’s Internet technology we should be able to tell within 72-hours if a potential gun owner has a record.
Source: The America We Deserve, by Donald Trump, p.102 Jul 2, 2000

Universal Healthcare
I’m a conservative on most issues but a liberal on health. It is an unacceptable but accurate fact that the number of uninsured Americans has risen to 42 million. Working out detailed plans will take time. But the goal should be clear: Our people are our greatest asset. We must take care of our own. We must have universal healthcare.
Our objective [should be] to make reforms for the moment and, longer term, to find an equivalent of the single-payer plan that is affordable, well-administered, and provides freedom of choice. Possible? The good news is, yes. There is already a system in place-the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program-that can act as a guide for all healthcare reform. It operates through a centralized agency that offers considerable range of choice. While this is a government program, it is also very much market-based. It allows 620 private insurance companies to compete for this market. Once a year participants can choose from plans which vary in benefits and costs.

Suffice to say that "The Donald" is dangerous...

I would impose a one-time, 14.25% tax on individuals and trusts with a net worth over $10 million. That would raise $5.7 trillion in new revenue, which we would use to pay off the entire national debt. We would save $200 billion in interest payments, which would allow us to cut taxes on middle-class working families by $100 billion a year or $1 trillion over ten years. We could use the rest of the savings––$100 billion-to bolster the Social Security Trust Fund. By 2030, we [will have] put $3 trillion into the trust Fund, which would make it solvent into the next century.
[In addition to shoring up Social Security for the long term], I say it’s high time to separate Social Security from the general treasury. It is time to lock-box it and throw away the key.
The rich will scream. Only the top 1% of people-those with a net worth of $10 million or more-would be affected by my plan. The other 99% would get deep reductions in heir federal income taxes.
Source: The America We Deserve, by Donald Trump, p.169-171 & 201 Jul 2, 2000

I would never support what has to be the craziest ideas in the history of U.S. politics: allowing the government to invest Social Security retirement funds in the stock market. Not only would a market downturn spell disaster for millions of retirees, but the process by which government would choose stocks would also be entirely political, making lobbyists and other political hacks the new masters of the universe.
Source: The America We Deserve, by Donald Trump, p.273-74 Jul 2, 2000

These two statements are entirely contradictory.  [let's ignore for the fact that there is no Social Security Trust Fund] Trump wants to confiscate personal wealth and put it in a "Trust Fund", and a hundred pages later he says that the government shouldn't be allowed to invest money.  Uh, then what's that "Trust Fund" all about if it's not invested in anything?

Bottom line is that the government shouldn't be investing anything.  It distorts the markets.  Look at government investing in housing, etc.

Without investment in the market [growth], Social Security is a ponzi scheme.  The government has no business investing in the market.

The Social Security Trust Fund is a $5T debt.  The good news is that this debt can no long grow any larger because outlays are greater than revenue.  Don't take my word for it; just go to the Bureau of Public Debt and plot the Public Debt and Intragovernmental Holdings [Intragovernmental Holdings is the money borrowed from Social Security over the years.  It's as much an asset as a credit card debt.]  Trump fails to understand some pretty basic stuff.

Did you miss the part where he said he would remove $5.7T from the economy?  And, stuff it under a mattress?

Oh, it's just "a one-time tax".  Right, whatever.  It's a flat out communist revolution in disguise.  Trump is not a capitalist, he's a narcissistic, self-promoting jerk.

That "one-time 15% tax" is strangely similary to a [Hilary?] Clinton plan back in the 90s.

I totally agree. The book that his gun comments came from was written as a way to test the waters at the time.

Any of you guy's that don't think you can plan ahead that far should study his patience on buying the rail yards.

Another thing he always preaches is never bet unless it's a sure thing. That's why I'm so interested in the birth dedicate ordeal.  He wouldn't open his mouth unless he had something.  As far as the donations go, he's just greasing palms in the places he does business.
