I need to find the crime rate a specific city using the UCR numbers, so I figured I would test the power of Arfcom.

I can't seem to find the rate per 100,000 on the FBI site just the specific number for a given year.

Anyone know where else to look for this info for the last five years or so?

Specific# * 100,000

––––––––––––––––––––––––––-

population

ex if you have 5 crimes and a population of 300,000, your rate per 100,000 =

5 * 100000 / 300000 = 1.66 per 100000

Thanks for the reply. I could figure it but I need the correct source as much as  the correct numbers. I found it at the state level and am just using that. Strange that the FBI site did not report it.
