I was there the year Tiger ran away with it (1997 I think). It is very impressive to watch him hit a driver in person. I am hoping that one day, by some freak chance, I can get him to autograph the masters badge from that year. But, the most memorable experience was when a friend of mine snapped a pic of Freddy walking off a tee box and Freddy looked at him and said "put it (camera) in your pocket". It was a cheap disposable film camera. He was worried my friend would snap a pic in his back swing or something I guess. Freddy is my first choice but I would like to see Tiger, Phil or Rory win also........ Edit** Pic **  |
| After watching his interview after yesterday's round I'm pulling for him too. Seem like a good, humble kid. And he's from the town over from where my Mother in law grew up [Bill Murray - Caddyshack] So he's got that going for him too [/Bill Murray - Caddyshack] |

These young kids in their early 20s are STUDS. Tiger and Phil have pretty much had their day in the sun. NO disrespect to them but these young players coming up are SO much better than the youngsters were at that age back in my day. Hell, they have sports psychologists, improved exercise and practice methods, better equipment, better nutrition, business managers to take the stress off of doing the routine things in life.
Of course, Tiger or Phil could get red hot later today, the young dudes could all crumble under pressure, and one of them prevail BUT don't count on it. Has Tiger really been the same since that major knee surgery? I think not. He used to transfer his weight very violently to his left side on his downswing and put tremendous pressure on his left knee. That's how he blew it out. Notice how inconsistent his tee shots with the driver have been since the knee surgery. I am NOT the world's authority on golf, but I'm just saying............ |

The same as every year, Augusta wins the masters. We get hundreds of millions of yankee dollars (although I imagine that in a year or two we will start demanding Euros), and we get to see you yanks leave again a week after you arrive.
