I was around 11 when I visited my Aunt and Uncle in Alice, Texas. They picked us up in OK from another Uncle's house and we proceeded down to San Antonio at 80-100 mph in my Uncle Ed's Olds. All trips with Aunt Faye and Uncle Ed were at 80-100 mph and it was a thrill. They gave us a Jeep to drive around town (my brother was 13 or 14...so no license) and spending money. I think it would have been fun to grow up in Texas......
