I am running dual monitors and when i have a page up and i click a link in that page that opens a new window the window is split between my monitors.

How can i fix this? I have tried everything even called HP and had on of the techs remote into my pc and they dont know the problem either.

Set your browser to open new windows in a new tab instead.

I don't use Windows anymore, so there may be a better way to handle this now, but back in the day, Ultramon was the way to go.

ETA: Depending on your video card, you may be able to use the manufacturer's control panel app that they provide to force new windows to center on the left/right monitor.

you are likely running in extended mode- windows sees your monitor as 1 big one, so sticks the page into the middle of it all

change it to dualview, twinview, whatever it is and then select primary display which is where new windows will open onto

Try dragging the window over into the second monitor and maximizing it, then close the window you just maximized.  Then try to open a link again and see if that works.
