Anyone know of companies besides Project Guns who build Brens? I have a kit right now that I have had for years, the cuts are very clean and everything is intact. I don't have the tools to complete the build myself and I want to send it out to have it taken care of. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Try an archive search for Bren. There are few guys on here who had builds done.

So far the prices I have are:

Project Guns - $1,600
Historic Arms LLC - $2,500 this includes a new barrel
Wise Lite: ???

I'm interested in what you find out...  Got a Mk1 kit, but the receiver may be too far gone for a semi-auto build.

IIRC, you can also get one set up for 7.62x54R to lower your ammo costs.

Len at Historic Arms built mine.  It's a beautiful gun.

We've had Wise Lite do some work for us in the past, but IIRC they're crazy busy at the moment with a government contract, so they're not taking on any new work for a while.

New mags, or just load a few and hope for the best?

That's fantastic!

I might have to research that for the Mk1...

How does it function?

No idea-dimensionally the overall length and rim diameters are within a mm of each other for mag purposes.
