| Never owned a compact gun before, but how does everyone like their USP Compact in 9mm flavor? |
|
My absolute favorite pistol. Seems to fit my hand the best of all that I've tried, and shoots great for me.
ETA: Cons - Mags are EXPENSIVE. Some people don't like the height of the bore. It's not really that small, especially when compared to something like a Glock 26. |

First of all, it's called a USP compact because it's smaller the a full sized USP.
It is not a compact gun. I have a USP45c. The grip is more rounded than the full sized USP, it fits my hand better. Having said that, I LOVE mine. Carry it most of the time. When I need a compact pistol, I carry my Kahr P40. |

The USP45c is only "compact" that I've shot that has room for all my fingers on the grip. Usually with compacts the grip isnt big enough for my pinky finger to fit so I have a harder time with the recoil since I'm not able to use all my fingers to grip with. Good choice for a compact-ish carry gun if you have large hands. ETA: The M&P9c with the wedge shaped mag plate works too. |

I'm in MA, so the only way these guns can come in is through a transfer so people jack up the prices. The one I am looking at is $825. That's a very decent price in any area. Jump on it. I paid a good bit more for my NIB HK USP .45 C recently. And it's worth every single penny. |

Quoted: This thread needs some pron. http://i.pgu.me/3WuKC50w_original.jpg You can see it's not small. It's just right!!! the others are a USP 40 full size. A 45 Tactical, and a PSP. ![]() |

I quite like mine. Very accurate. It's my carry gun, the one I qualified for my FL CC license with. I've finally gotten it figured out (what kind of sight-hold to use, what kind of grip, etc) and I did better with it after not having shot for 3 months than I did when I qualified.
And its the official gun of Jack Bauer. |
| Very interested in this, as I held a usp 45c before I ever owned a fire arm, and loved it. Bought a usp 45 and couldn't hit anything (even with instruction). Sold the usp 45, but it always seemed "big" for my hand, so I'm interested in the 40c as a smaller unit. |
| Absolutely great guns, I carried one for a while. This was around '99 or so, back when mag prices were ridiculous. I ultimately switched to a Glock 19 simply because mags were cheaper and easier to find, and never looked back. Now, this isn't a knock on the HK, its just mag availability was a huge issue then for HK pistols. |
