I wandered in to a pawn shop today and this little Junior Colt caught my eye.  They we asking $300 but I got it for $250.  It was made in Spain.  It's pretty rough.  The grips are worn.  The bluing is pretty much gone. and there is quite a bit of pitting.  I think it could look decent with a refinish but I don't know what that would do to it's value.

I know nothing about these guns.  Anyone want to fill me in?

Based on the serial number it was made in 1965.  Looks really cool, especially with the box et al.  Don't know if I would have paid what you did but I did just pay 200 for a Colt 1903 hammerless .32.  I like the old Colt pocket guns a lot.

Damn, I love these little pocket guns.

I had a hard time not buying any this weekend for $300 w/o box and papers.

$250, I would be hella happy.

(I wish I knew more about these as well before I start buying some.)

ideal for home defense?   You might want to bust out ole Colt Sr for that matter.

Anyone have anything to add?

At this point I don't think that I would hurt its value any by polishing it up and re-bluing it.
