Guess you were Shipping Up to Boston? I don't think he's going to The State of Massachusetts. The band is a bit left of center. Yep, Thats why the had to get deleted from my ipod. Will stick with Silly Wizzard, The Pogues and The Waterboys |

They are an Irish influenced Punk Band from Mass, I think it's a law that the have to be left of center. I prefer the Mahones and the Pouges but I will be seeing DKM on the 5th in STL. |

I don't hate unions like most of ARFcom seems to, but even I couldn't defend the actions of the WI assholes like the Murphys did. I don't know enough about the band to know if they've taken any other political positions. |

I get to work both Philly shows next week. I'll be getting a workout. The wee folk like to fight when they drink. ![]() Going to see DKM at club shows before every idiot that ever ate a potato decided he needed to act "Irish" was a bunch of fun and I liked them better with Mike McColgan too. A year or so ago, they played with a couple of my favorite hardcore bands and drunk bros almost ruined it. Mob Mentality isn't just a song they cover;some people just don't "get it".They'd be assholes outside of a show but it just gives them a reason to play up being tough because they're wearing a Guinness tshirt and flat cap.
They are union supporting Democrats but I'll give credit where credit is due when it comes to supporting the troops in a war they personally do not. Them playing at Sgt. Andrew Farrar's funeral was pure class and there's no other way around that. Still, nothing and I mean absolutely nothing beats punk shows in MA. Much might suck about the state but nobody dives like Boston
How punk rawk should be properly enjoyed: if you make it to ~ 4:20,notice there isn't screaming "fucking pig" at the cop and when the music stops not a single punch is being thrown because everyone's there to have a good time, not prove how badass they are... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXedxfqzC4I |

Flogging Molly frontman is a libtard from hell. Good band, though. Real McKenzies are a great band if you like this sort of thing. Flatfoot56 is also good, and they love Jesus too. Thank God someone else listens to Flatfoot 56 Good stuff Dropkick and Flogging, regardless of their political views, their music is still damn good to me and every time I listen to it I wanna drink a cold pint of beer. |

Just copied this from their website:
The Dropkick Murphys would like to take a moment to acknowledge the struggles of the working people of Wisconsin and to pledge our support and solidarity by releasing the song "Take Em Down" from our upcoming album. We think it's appropriate at the moment and hope you like it. We have also created a limited edition “Take ‘Em Down” t-shirt which is available for sale. Proceeds from the "Take ‘Em Down” t-shirt sales will benefit Workers' Rights Emergency Response Fund. The Dropkick Murphys Stand With Wisconsin !!!!! ![]() ![]()
Hate their politics, but great band. |

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Molly and Pogues for me. ...and The Saw Doctors. Brief aside, Flogging Molly's show in Myrtle Beach 17FEB was awesome! Speaking of Flogging Molly, check out Flogging Mollys lead singers first band. Yes, this is him on vocals. Where is the Irish accent? ![]() Uhg. That was terrible. |
