| Gonna let the parties involved handle this in a more professional manner. |

Wait, you mailed the rail in the factory box, or did you put the factory box inside a generic one? I once had a El Paso Saddlery box arrive empty because they advertise to everyone what could possibly be inside. I mailed it in the box that Troy sent me to mail it. I have picks of the box I'll post up when I get home. |

Gotta wonder why they bothered putting the chunk of PVC in, it's not like it needed the bulk or it would bring the weight up. Maybe they just had it laying around and thought it would be funny. Thieves should have their balls cut off so they can't reproduce. The free UPS insurance is for $100 I think, after that you have to pay. But it's been a while since I checked. Good luck!

Hope you get everything fixed and soon. Next time I might recommend registered, signature required, Insured for twice the value. Then they can't bitch. Yeah, now I know. I figured with THEIR BOX and their label it would they would worry about covering THEIR PRODUCT. But I guess not. I will have way less pull with UPS than they would. I'm really upset about this and can't believe it happened. |

Now it's a free rail. Yeah, let's punish Troy for going the extra mile to help out! UPS will tell them to fuck off, too. At best after a lot of staff time they will get $100 back next year.
I know a manuf. co that used to hire a full time person to call and file claims when UPS failed to deliver within their time guarantees. It was a small town, they could afford a 30-hour per week PT person at $10 an hour to make those claims. Owner said it was one of their higher ROI profit centers because the customers rarely complained when a package was a day late due to shipping. |

The local UPS outlet always warns me about shipping to well-known firearm or firearm parts manufacturers, because those packages always get torn open or completely disappear because the thieving employees know what company names to look for. I get told to abbreviate the name in such a way that the receiver knows it's for them, but it's not painfully obvious to people while in transit. They not only admit that UPS employees somewhere along the line are doing this, but that there's also been several "stings" set up to catch 'em. I'm sure it happens with USPS and Fedex too, but I'm told it happens a LOT more with UPS..it must if they're having to set up stings to catch these guys. ![]() |

"MSA Research" instead of MSAR, "KT" instead of Kel-Tec, etc. |
