I believe the current number is somewhere in the high 30's to low 40's (37-42 is my educated guess). Check [url]http://www.nra-ila.org[/url] or [url]http://www.packing.org[/url].

I think the most recent number is 44 allowing concealed carry in some form, but of the 44 there are some where it's so restricted that it's virtually non-existent. I think the "shall-issue" number is somewhere in the mid 30's.

I belive the shalll issue number (which is the one that counts) is 33.
