On the Science Channel...

http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/02/17/firefly-returns/

The Science Channel has acquired the rights to the cult-hit and will air
the series in its short-lived entirety, plus some new extras. Science
Channel will wrap each episode with interstitial segments starring
renowned physicist Dr. Michio Kaku, who will discuss the theoretical
science behind the show’s sci-fi concepts.

Great show and premise, but let it lie.  Sci-Fi will do it no justice with their half-assing ways.

Is that the same PhD who was part of the "Star Wars Tech" series?

I'll watch it just to see it in it's (abbreviated) entirety, as well as to see how it links to Serenity.
