My first rant, wall of text and all that shit....
14 days ago I placed an order via their website and asked for expedited shipping for a knife since my daily carry was lost somewhere between work and a funeral. Nowhere on the site did it specifically say they would not ship to New York STATE. It said to check your local laws, and that the laws apply differently for Active Duty/Law Enforcement personnel. I do not live in NYC, I live in Syracuse, a rural part of NY that is nowhere near as insane and people are normal. After a week of waiting I emailed the company and asked if there was a problem with my order. I get this snarky reply: Below is the shipping policy as per the choice you made. Items normally ship within 2-3 business days after payment is received, then it takes 2-3 business days for Priority Mail. THESE TIME FRAMES EXCLUDE WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS Thank you for your purchase and have a great day! Your Friend, K______ I figured I might have jumped the gun on asking if something was up so I waited. This morning I finally decided, a full 14 days later, after not hearing anything whatsoever that I would ask once more if there was a problem. I fire this off: Sir, I am inquiring again about the status of my order. I still have yet to recieve any shipping notification and on saturday it will have been two weeks since I placed my order. I am aware that the weekends are not business days, I am just wondering if there was a problem such as the item is no longer available or if I should be concerned that someone is stealing packages from my porch if it already shipped. Please let me know if there is a problem that I need to correct as I still need the item I ordered and am looking forward to recieving it! Thanks in advance! So I just get home from my night class and sit down to check my email when I spot multiple replies sent mere minutes apart. Not days, not hours, I'm talking about the span of five minutes max. I am excited thinking this has to be my confirmation email with shipping information and an apology for not sending me the information sooner. It has to be, they are a "top rated seller on flea-bay" and have glowing testimonials from countless satisfied customers! Who the fuck was I kidding? Why did I even get my hopes up? I thought for once, since I specified that I live in Syracuse AND that I am an Active Duty Marine when placing the order, that everything would be copcetic. We do not ship knives to new york. The below email was sent to you concerning this matter. Be good to yourself and stay sharp! Your Friend, K_______ We are sorry, however your order has been automatically cancelled and any charges to your card were reversed. It seems as if you missed the terms and conditions as noted below, when you purchased placed your order. What kind of shit is this? Stay Sharp? How can I, you won't sell me a fucking knife! You wait 14 mother-fucking days to tell me this? What kind of half-assed company does this, you can't call someone to get confirmation that they are indeed a law enforcement officer or on active duty in the military and thereby allowed to purchase a spring assisted knife? I could go grab one at supply but I dislike the one's they hand out. I already have the mega-Gerber, I wanted something smaller that still could be operated with one hand. I lost my SOG and had my heart set on a nice Smith and Wesson blade. But noooo, those cheese dicks have a weed up their ass about New York. This whole God-damned frozen state is not the city. We may be behind the iron curtain but not all of the state lives under complete communist rule. So now I am wondering who I hate more, the fuck-sticks that run this state or Unique Blade. /rant flame on |

I just transferred here from San Diego and thought I was leaving behind the insanity when it came to gun and knife laws. I sure did have myself fooled. Traded one dictator for another it seems. Still, I don't understand their fear of shipping me a knife. Its not like they are going to take the heat if I stab someone, and when is the last time someone went on a stabbing rampage? How about a drive by stabbing, or a drive by knife throwing. Better yet, try to hold up a liquor store with a pocket knife and see if they don't laugh you right back out the front door. |
