How many texts do you go through in a month?
2/7/2011 10:02:31 AM EDT
[#1]
As many times as it takes to get my wife to stop calling.
2/7/2011 10:02:40 AM EDT
[#2]
I have never sent a text in my life.

So, zero.

0

I don't even have a phone, just an itouch.

In before a bunch of people say technology is lame and they own a flip phone from 2001 and don't bother with that childish crap but still have 20K posts here

Anywhere from 50-100 if I had to guess.

1001 - 1500 a month. My wife and I text each other a lot.

0 until I got a Droid and unlimited texts are included. Then, probably 20 per month?

I have a lot more than 20K post, and I've never owned anything as fancy as even a flip phone. I'm still on my second cell phone, and my cell phone is OFF 99% of the time.

Between my friends and I, about 5 every week or two.  Responding to txt's from the wife,  about 25 or so a day.

1 to 2 hundred I guess.

I think I had over 1500 last month.

I would rather text than talk. Especially if it's just a quick question.

1st post nailed it..4 or 5 a day.

I text a bit.  Probably a few hundred a month.

My wife does not want to make sexy texts.

Depends on how chatty a couple of my friends are. I can easily do 50-100 in a day, or I can do 0.

[#18]
Less than 10, and the majority of those are received. I send one once in a blue moon as a reply. I have a phone...pick yours up and TALK to me!!! DAMMIT!!!

Between sending and recieving texts its a few thousand...

Hey being a mid 20's single Dad makes it hard to get out sometimes...So I get to talk to "friends" and other people better this way.

I receive maybe a dozen texts or so in an average month, mostly automated messages (online payment notices, free RedBox rental, etc.).

If I send/receive a half-dozen actual human-to-human texts in a month, it was a busy one for me.

If my wife gets into the habit when she picks out a new phone (she's been dragging her feet on that), I'm sure that it will increase significantly then. Even more so when the kids are old enough to have phones, but we're still a good way off from that for now.

About 200. 180 or so are from my wife.

Depends if there is a woman in my life, but lately not so usually around 100.

I hate texting but I don't have much of a choice.  Dating a 22 year old is impossible without text messages, so I deal with it.  The shit I put up with for pie...  I'd say 20 or 30 a day, so I picked 501-1000

I kinda fall into a split so I went with the lower option. Mine can vary from 100-250 a month depending on work conditions. Many times I find myself or my workers in areas where voice is sketchy due to location or terrain and text's save the day in that situation. Only takes a split second of signal to get messages in and out. Also when communicating numbers like coordinates I prefer texts so I can proof them before sending or proof them while dialing them in on location. Aside from work I don't text much although it does seem that I am doing it increasingly more than I used to.

I have been doing email via phone for years so I believe that has somewhat kept my need to text and talk for that matter lower as well. I jumped on the Blackberry thing pretty early and now rely on a Droid as primary communications.

I have also been able to lower the amount of minutes needed on my company plan by adding the 250TXT package to most of my phones in the field. People would rather text than talk and 250 a month saves me money when I can move to a plan with less minutes.

10-15 a month.  Usually to three different friends who prefer to text than talk, though I much prefer dialing the phone and talking to someone.  Talking is faster for me.

My girlfriend is 800mi away so honestly, a ton.  Most of this is my fault as I'd far rather email/text people in my life than get on the phone.

Same. I think my highest ever was 3,400 texts in a month.

I think that was also one of those months I was unemployed so I had nothing better to do when I was in between stopping at places asking about jobs. lol

I said 200 to 500 but I really don't know. Quite a few. I'm on call with a company phone 24/7 so I love texting. I'd rather not have a phone at all of course but since I have to carry one, texting is far more convenient than have to answer the phone every 10 minutes.

I had a motorola razor for like 5 years, so I texted very rarely until december, when I decided to get a blackberry (crackberry!) now I text an ass load, and surf arfcom at the same time.......

2,000+ per month
2/7/2011 10:25:21 AM EDT

Probably about 3500-5000 texts a month.

I figured about 5 an hour on average throughout a 24 hour day.

I voted 201-500.  Thats probably somewhat accurate now.  There were many months I probably text over 2k.  That was when there was a cute girl on the other end.  Right now, with no such distraction, i don't really know what it is.  I got the unlimited plan, so i don't bother looking.

I don't enjoy talking n the phone so I text. Wife mom and a couple friends. 200-300 texts a month on a busy month.

I'm a college student with a smartphone, and so are almost all of my friends.  I don't even want to know how many texts I send/receive in a month, but I'd guess it averages 40-100 a day.

I'll usually send one or two every third day when the wife is on duty at the F.D. Those are usually to answer a question that she has sent me!

[#50]
Never initiated one in my life. I have replied to two of them that came from my wife a few years ago, but she has since gave up sending them to me since I ignored 99.99% of them from her.
