I took my savage mark II to the range yesterday and today. Stock rifle, drilled and tapped reciever, and im using weaver #24 bases that I bought from midway. Using 2 different scopes this thing is shooting way left. Even after taking everything apart, reinstalling the bases and both scopes it still shoots a foot atleast to the left even with the scopes windage maxed out. Il have to call savage customer service tomorrow, but what could be causing this?

Step one, see if one of the bases isn't turned 180 degrees.

Step two, take the bases off and hold a ruler in line with the holes and see if it lines up with the barrel.

The possibilities are almost endless, stock not fitting correctly, drill and tap for scope done improperly, bad scope bases, bad scope rings, bad scope, scope not installed properly, it could even be the shooter!

What kind of rings?
If they adjust on both the port and starboard flanks, you can adjust them for a rough windage before you even touch the scope's turrets.

try flipping the rings around opposite from each other

have the attachment screws at the base of the rings on different sides

you can get some windage adjustment that way most times

Ive tried everything, and It looks like the holes were drilled uneven. Every scope I put on the rifle,if you look at it from the top looks like its crooked.
