Witch Hunt FBI: the FBI is compiling a list of Americans deemed a potential threat for criticizing their representatives. Even though Jared Loughner, the shooter in Saturday’s Tucson tragedy, was not politically motivated, the FBI is visiting the homes of politically conservative bloggers.
Clay Bowler, who ran a blog last year criticizing Republican Congressman Billy Long, was shocked to see an FBI agent turn up on his doorstep asking questions. The FBI agent wanted to know if Bowler was a threat to Long because he had used an Internet blog to highlight claims of cronyism and corruption involving the Congressman before the southwest Missouri election in November, in which Long defeated Democrat Scott Eckersley to replace outgoing Rep. Roy Blunt. Read more: http://www.thirdage.com/news/witch-hunt-fbi-targets-conservative-bloggers_1-14-2011#ixzz1B3a3k4Xk |

wait, so they're just showing up to people's houses and asking them if they're a threat? That's it? Yeah, right.
I'd sure as hell be careful about what I said on that property afterwards. Nor would I let any of those agents leave my sight. No you can't use the bathroom. Stay right where I can see you. In fact, I'm not sure it'd be a great idea to even let them in the house. |

I didn't pay much attention to politics back in 2000. What were the votes on plastic guns and cop killer bullets about? Why did we even have those votes? It makes no sense.
A gun with less than 4oz of metal is illegal? ETA: oops I posted this in the wrong thread. Oh well. |

A gun with less than 4oz of metal is illegal? dunno about that, but I was told I'd be breaking a law if I made a wooden AR receiver when I joked about it a couple years ago here. |

Absolutely not. "Do you mind if we go inside?" "I don't mind if I go inside, but you're not coming with me." |

You guys are SO easily taken in and believe ANYTHING you find printed in a blog. What the hell is wrong with you?
One (ONE) self-proclaimed Internet blogger claims that the FBI visited him, CLAIMS he knows why - and draws the conclusion that the FBI is therefore conducting a vast nationwide investigation program of ALL such bloggers. I will add that my Golden Retriever is qualified to be a blogger. Of course - if a journalist uses the word "clip" instead of "magazine" - you go off on a rant about how stupid the press is. I have owned shoes smarter than some of you.

While I cannot speak to this alledged visit or it's alledged national scope, I can tell you that the FBI spent years tracking down and trying to visit every Makarov owner in the country. All because a prosecutor was killed in Wa State with what they believe to be a Mak.... They were asking to take them in for testing as well..... And thats a fact jack. |

How many thousands of bloggers are there running loose? The FBI really has the resources to send agents out to their houses to bully them?

This... You can make a gun that is marking-sterile, perfectly legal. TR85. |

FBHO and My Worthless Dem Congressman Sanford Bishop. Bishop has served for almost twenty years and has accomplished virtually nothing. He just draws a paycheck. I was involved in campaigning for a close but unsuccessful challenger in the last election cycle. He is a Pelosi and Obama puppet. He falls asleep at meetings. He pissed in a coffee cup on an airliner, and got caught. No charges were ever brought. (Google him. You can't make this stuff up). He gave Black Congressional Caucus scholarship funds to his relatives' and staff members' kids, rather than needy kids. His response was that he had done nothing illegal, and he has repaid the money after the story broke. He showed his cowardice during the "town hall" Obama Healthcare Reform forums. He is an elitist. One of his staff members was dumb enough to leave a voice message on a farmer constituent's answering machine intimating that he would be getting no more help from the congressman's office because of something the constituent allegedly said at a meet and greet. As if it were Congressman Bishop's money that was being doled out. He was too scared to vote for Pelosi as minority party leader because of repercussions back home, but was too scared to anger her, so he was the only Congressman that I know of, who voted "Present". He is a disgrace. I am embarrassed to have him represent our district. That's all I can remember right now. If the FBI is monitoring. Come get me. Let's talk. I'll be glad to tell any audience, no matter how small - what kind of failure our congressman is. ![]() |

I criticize my Congressmen openly, and I will continue to do so. A couple are even on my side, but they're ineffective. I want to see some good old fashioned fire brands at the podium, standing shoulder to shoulder with a message that we've had enough!
Bond was just about worthless. McCaskill has variable principles, mostly varying to the left. |

Mencken. 1880-1956 |
