I've been noticing that I'm losing weight. I recently had to hammer another notch in my old pistol belt. I hammered one notch in it when my dad gave it to me at age 18. My rib and hip bones are becoming more pronounced. I now get bruising again from shooting rifles in prone, since there is "zero natural padding." The only thing that has changed is my diet contains twice as much fat as it did 3 months ago. I eat lots of bacon, sausage, eggs, spam, peanuts, and other non perishable foods. The carbs I eat are typically in the form of ramen, corn chips, potatoes (rarely) and saltine crackers. About the only veggies I eat are spicy peppers. I am also pretty active. I ride a bike for most local transportation. The car is reserved for the grocery store and range. If it's within 5 miles and I don't have to carry anything home, I take the bike. So, is the high fat diet causing me to lose weight, or should I be looking at something else? The ladies really hate rib bones. ![]() ETA: I have quit my 2 pack a day cigarette smoking habit, and now smoke 3 half-bowls of pipe tobacco a day. |
