That sucks man. I've done that a few times. I just wrapped it in something wet. Maybe a wet ace bandage or something. The finger is a shitty place.. so be creative. Make sure NOTHING sticks to it though!! Aloe-based creams and gels can be used to treat burns and relieve pain. Try not to use "ice" water. Hope this helps a tad.

How big of an area?  Did it remove any joint skin? Just the top couple of layers of skin? or all the skin?

Thats gonna hurt for a day or two.

It will grow back, but you may have a scar...will probably take a few weeks.

Doesn't look too bad, I bet it hurts though.

How long do you think before its covered enough i can generally work with it again using scissors and such? How should i dress it with a covering? what to put on it?

Dry air is best.. Just leave it open and the pink skin will toughen up in a day or two

If the pink layer is compromised get a decent set of dressings and scarzone burnzone I swear by it.
That stuff has healed a near 3rd degree burn on my wrist to slight discolored.

The pink layer is completely intact.

You'll be fine.  Some neosporin wouldn't hurt though.
