| I currently do not own an ar. I have always wanted one but don't really have a good reason. I recently considered just getting one of the S&W MP15/22s. I have two young sons and figured we could afford to do a lot more shooting with one of those than we would with an ar. Then again I am afraid that I would regret it later. Both boys already have a nice single shot .22 to call their own but we all know that single shots aren't near as much fun as 25 rounds would be. I just wonder would that be as much fun as 30 shots out of an ar. I know we could do a lot more shooting with the .22 than we would the ar. Chime in everyone. |

For the security of a free state, there, now you have a good reason for an AR15. How old are your boys? 22ARs seem pretty cool and appropriate for youngsters. |

get a real one and a ceiner .22 conversion kit to shoot .22lr. All you have to do is switch the bolt carrier group and swap mags. 10 seconds. Then, you still have the option of using the 5.56. x2 Best of both worlds. Good advice. Oh, and because I want one is a good enough reason. |
