Anyone have one, how do you like it?
I am kind of asking after the fact but I bought some serious electronics last night and I got the Harmony to use a single remote so I was just wondering what the thought was on them and any tips. I have not get anything really set up just yet so pro tips would be appreciated. ETA: I got the Harmony 700 model. |

I have had a few and they are fantastic! I routinely give them as Christmas presents, if that tells you anything. I love being able to customize the settings, buttons and delays. The only advice I will give is just take your time setting everything up and keep tweaking the settings till everything works just the way you want. They could hardly have made it an easier set-up process.
The only problem I've ever had, and it seems to be a common one, is that the batteries go bad after a year or so. I did some searching on amazon.com and found a guy selling a replacement battery and wall charger for it for $30 IIRC. That solved my problem, and I always have a battery ready to go. Get one, you won't be disappointed. |

Have a URC that does macros and it's almost as good for a lot less. The only thing I don't like is how slow the channel up/down button is to react, you can't really scroll fast. The punch through feature is cool as well. I can control my Onkyo receiver volume while in TV or Satellite mode.

| Ive been using a 550 for quite awhile now and I absolutely love it. Hitting one button to set up my system to watch a dvd/blu ray, play xbox or ps3 is the best. I haven't had any trouble out of it whatsoever. Battery life is pretty good as well. Thinking about picking up a ONE for my father for Christmas since he has threatened to steal mine on several occasions. |

I have an 1100 and 880. The Logitechs do activities, but you can't fully customize macro's like you can with the URC and Phillips remotes. If you have any direct questions, post up. It's really plug and play, so simple an idiot can do it.
I also have a Phillips prontopro TSU9400 that blows the harmony's away, though it's infinitely more complicated to setup correctly than the Logitechs are. FWIW, I have set up about 100 Harmony remotes for customers after recommending them for simplicity and no callbacks (once setup initially, it's even easier to make changes down the road for the homeowner). |

Have a 550, love it - controls anything with an IR receiver. Every remote prior to the Harmony, I was thinking "boy - if it only controlled this button from the original remote". That's not the case any more. Same here, I have a 550 as well, even set up the window unit A/C on it |

I have had two so far and I refuse to go back to having 2 or more remotes in one room.
The software is extremely easy to use as it completely walks you through setup. The remote also has a help button on there so if something doesn't turn on right it just asks a few questions to get you back on track. Couldn't really say anything better about them. |
