What kind of emergency equipment is carried in a patrol car ?

Not guns or weapons, just emergency equpment - first aid - ect ............

What is the load out ?

Depends on if it is a take home car or a pool car.

Pool cars...not so much. Take home...lots.

Also depends on agency & policy. Some agencies have nothing, while others allow mini trauma kits.

AED, First aid kit one guy is also a EMT carries the whole rig for trauma.

Pool car: AED, Ambubag, really basic first aid kit. Though one or more is missing from most of the cars.

Inspection flashlight, hat, gloves, rain suit.....

Large plastic trash bags
Portable Am/Fm radio
Extra batteries for everything I use (except the police portable radio)
Bug Spray
Sun screen
Cigars (for the occasions when........)
Trans oil
Motor oil
Small tool kit

Standardized First Aid Kit, ambu-bag, AED, flares, floor jack, extra traffic vest, work gloves (both for flares and changing tires), fire extinguisher, blanket, and that's what every car has in the trunk.

Then there is anything you choose to carry in addition.
