quotes from her I heard on FNC today.
"I don't want the President to fail. When the President succeeds, the country succeeds." "I believe in compromise." sickening... |
|
Quoted: Quoted: The only reason that she got the votes that she did was due to the extreme hard line the republican candidate was taking on one issue that Murkowski successfully used to win that contest. The only reason she won is the Democraps voted her in. Yeah you right. |
|
Quoted: WTF Alaska? Wasn't the Republican like a war hero? He made a lot of gaffes after winning the primary, and the liberal newspaper went after him hammer and tongs. Also a lot of liberals voted for Murkowski just to spite Palin and the Tea Party. I voted for Miller. I don't want Alaska being a welfare case. I was hoping we could lead by example when it comes to sacrificing in order to cut spending. Even though my employer depends heavily on federal spending. Cut it now or cut it later. The responsible thing is to deal with it now before it is too late. My company had an all-employee meeting today where we had a Q&A session with the senior leadership. One of the questions was 'How is the new Congress going to affect our funding?' The CFO who is a former politician said that it's really impossible to know. But there is a lot of talk about cutting spending. Luckily, talking about cutting spending is a lot easier than actually accomplishing it. He said that Republican proposals to cut spending back to 2008 levels would translate to a $20m drop in our company's revenues (we had a banner year in 2010 with record revenues and margins). |

The only reason she won is the Democraps voted her in. Correct! ALL the unions, school districts, and native corporations who typically always endorse the Democrat nominee instead decided to endorse Lisa Murkowski in order to keep Miller from winning. She pulled a lot of Democrat votes away from McAdams, the Democrat nominee. I saw many cars with Obama bumper stickers & "Lisa is our DEMOCRAT" stickers around Anchorage... |

She's a stereotypical RINO, don't expect much out of her with the exception of siding with her buddies on the left. FUCK ALL RINO PIECES OF SHIT! |

This state has a split personality.
On the one hand Alaskans like to spout off about being independent and resourceful. On the other hand Alaskans insist Federal dollars are necessary for the survival of the state. The single issue that creates such a weird political atmosphere is the fact that the Federal Government owns or controls 3/4ths of the state. We actually came pretty close to electing Miller. If Murkowski would have respected the primary it would have been a done deal. It was a combination of Republicans who are afraid of loosing Federal dollars and Democrats afraid of Miller that elected Murkowski. |

Hasn't Miller filed suit about the election and the write-in votes? He's not going to win. I think it might have been higher than that, even. Last I looked, there were about 7k votes he was challenging, and she won by over 10k votes. |
|
So sad. The media really accomplished its goal by painting a negative stigma about Joe Miller.
I talked to a few "republicans" that voted for murkowski because they didn't want Miller to win. I asked them what there reasoning was and they didn't have an answer...
I really bet Miller would have done a good job too. |

Quoted: Quoted: Sad, I always thought Alaskans were rugged individualists; guess not. Yup, turns out they are no better than the stupid libtards in Michigan who voted for our two useless commie Senators. I just pray she at least caucuses with the GOP. I'm not going to argue. This election speaks for itself. |
|
Here's what I learned:
1) The election was bought and paid for. She was going to win no matter what it took. 2) The Repub primary winner ran a poor campaign and made mistakes 3) The media (to include a supposedly conservative high school drop out radio talk show host) was going to help Murkowski win no matter what it took 4) The counting process violated state law and no one cares. I agree that voter intent should matter but that's not what our state law said. The counters didn't care and counted however they wanted to to help Lisa win. The election process was seriously flawed to help Murkowski in the pre-election handouts and the counting process. I wouldn't doubt there's significant election fraud coming from certain areas but of course don't have any firm info to prove anything. 5) Alaska is a welfare state and a ton of fake conservatives and businesses want it to stay that way. Hopefully the rest of the states now realize this and will stop sending money to us. We need a good dose of tough love. 6) The Repub party did the minimum required to support the primary winner to not take too much heat. The Repub leadership could have shut down Murkowski if they wanted to. 7) The Native Corps in Alaska want to keep riding the gravy train and keep taking money from people that work (instead of competing fairly). |

I heard that too and spit up in my mouth. She's just what the welfare class needs. I heard Dennis Miller on his HBO show last night say, "I'm all for helping the truely needy, but fuck the clueless." I couldn't agree more. |

We should kick Alaska out of the Union. They suck the most tax dollars out of our pockets than any other state and we get very little out of them. They act like they are a Conservative state, but they are not. They are just Liberals that love the cold and hunt,,, so what. They keep giving us liberals or Neocons every time. If we cut off the tax money we give them they would go under. They have looted us far more than the city of Detroit has and given us over priced oil. Seeeee yaaaa... |

After the Lousianna Purchase, buying AK was the smartest land purchase we ever made.

Quoted: We should kick Alaska out of the Union I agree and please do! Federal control of such a large portion of this state needs to stop. No, Russia and China would come in and develop the resources the USA refuses to develop. I like being an American and having F-22's and nukes protecting me. |

Take all this anger, and focus it now on Olympia Snowe who's up for re-election in 2012. Even though I don't live in Maine, I intend to contribute heavily to the best GOP primary challenger she has. I already sent her this note: Senator Snowe, Congratulations on not being up for re-election this year. I greatly look forward to contributing generously to any challenger you may encounter in the 2012 GOP Primary. I no longer contribute to the RNC, and in 2010 my strategy was to contribute to various CONSERVATIVE Republicans nationwide. The results were quite satisfying. Unfortunately, we do not vote in Maine, yet my family looks forward to helping fund your 2012 Primary opponent (as well as the Tea Party), to help further assure this hopeful trend. Sincerely, |

Quoted: Quoted: WTF Alaska? Wasn't the Republican like a war hero? The Murkowskis have a lot of loyal fans up north. They've spread around plenty of our tax dollars in order to earn buy such loyalty. ETA: Fixt. Not really. Her father Frank Murkowski was a despised governor, one of our worst. As a Senator for 3 terms, he never accomplished anything. Lisa Murkowski never delivered the pork sufficiently to be revered as Ted Stevens was. Ted Stevens is her benchmark for success, she doesn't care about the overall peril the USA is in because of government spending. This was really a grudge match against Palin and the Tea Party. And the shitheads won. In Alaska. Very depressing. |
