Will 4th gen Glock 19's run older magazines with just one cut out? I know if I flip the mag release they won't work, but if I leave it as is am I good to go?

Do 4th gen Glock 19's run well yet?

1) yes.

2) Dunno.  No reason to think otherwise.

Depends on the gun and the ammo. Some have done well. Some I've seen choke pretty regularly.

old mags are good to go as long you keep the mag release on the traditional side

No, no fix for the sping issue yet.

My advice is to look for a Gen 3.

Don't know, but they do make good trade fodder.

Thanks guys. I can get a 4th gen right now ands it's very tempting. I can always swap in a 3rd gen spring with an adapter if it's an issue. Hrm.

My 10ish year old G26 has the dual spring...  When I first took apart my much newer 17, I wondered what was up with that nasty looking flat coil spring.  Not sure why it's a big deal as it goes to the larger models...

I'm literally buying a gen 3 G19 as I type this.  I'd still stay away from the gen 4 (9mms), but that's just me.  Imho, they fixed something that wasn't broken in the 9s.
