| It is a take-off from the old car ads in the '70's when fuel efficiency was the big thing. They all lied about what wonderful gas mileage the cars would get in the ads, then at the end, very quickly and quietly, they would say, "Your mileage may vary." As in, "35 MPG highway, 26 city, [i]your mileage may vary."[/i] Here it is used to indicate that your particular experience may be different than the info just related by the poster. |
