Can chili be too hot? I was told my chili had a kick that went ankle deep. I made some once that was WAY hot. I froze the leftovers to use in my next batch. A month later my wife went deer hunting, and we always take some frozen chili with us. Well, I grabbed the wrong package. That first night we were sitting around the campfire and after the first bite we realized what happened. I even flicked a piece of jalapeno out of the chili out of my bowl and into the fire. The damned pepper made a little mushroom cloud. Still ate that chili though. There were no beans, noodles, potatoes, or spaghetti in it either. |

Quoted: Chili is not chili without beans. I put kidney beans and black beans in mine. I also cut up bacon in small pieces and add that. Talk about your tongue slapping your brains out!! MMMMMM!!! As a Southerner, Your momma should have told you about Yankee Soup earlier in life. |

If you want any beans, you better bring those too! Mine isn't nuclear hot. I put jalapenos, serranos, anaheims, poblanos and chipotle peppers in it, along with ancho chili powder. |
