I'm trying to create a graph with ATC,AVC, and MC on the vertical axis and Output on the horizontal axis. They are supposed to be measured on one graph and for the life of my I can't figure out how to match the output with each of the other values. Here are my values. I'm hoping some one here can help because my book is worthless!
OutputATCAVCMC 0000 241.660.830.83 600.990.661.11 1200.670.51 1680.60.481.66 2100.580.482.38 2460.570.493.33 2760.570.54.66 3000.60.536.66 3180.630.578.88 3300.660.616.66 |

In what program do you need to produce this table? I could probably bang one out pretty quick in Excel, if you want, or do you need it in some kind of analysis software?
I assume your columns are Output, Average Total Cost, Average Variable Cost, Marginal Cost ETA: I think the... 4th row of your table of data is missing a value for Marginal Cost |

But not the equillibrium point. I think it will work for what I need it for! Thanks a bunch though! |

If you want to send me the original table or whatever, you can email it to me at
akerbay ikemay omeoray at gmail dot com (all one word, and not in pig latin), or just take a screenshot of it so I can copy it into open office by hand or whatever. ~BakerMikeRomeo ETA: whoops read your reply. |

Not a problem. This economics class is distance education and combined with a teacher that doesn't answer email and a horrible book I figure I will do my best! Appreciate it a bunch though! |

You can right click on each separate dataset in excel on the graph, and click "add trendline". Then add a trendline which seems of an appropriate style for each plot (polynomial or exponential or linear, etc). Make sure you tell it to put the equation of the line on the graph, then you can copy the equations and use them to calculate intercepts and equilibria and such. |
