He pulled every strike. Lack of follow-through always ends in failure. I think he lacks the mass to put enough inertia into the strikes anyway. Boy needs a cheeseburger! Of course, blowing the first one probably wrecked his mental focus for the rest of the attempts. I haven't broken very many things with strikes, but I've never failed on the few I've attempted. To me it's a matter of just making a hard initial strike with as much continued post-strike pressure as possible. Follow-through. I visualize not hitting the target, but going right through it. I try to put my fist (or whatever) far past the target, since your brain is wired to put your hand where you visualize it to be. Visualize the surface of the brick, and that is as far as your hand will go. Visualize beyond it, and you'll get through. At least, that's how I interpret a successful breaking strike. But I didn't take martial arts lessons for very long and don't consider myself to be any form of professional. CJ |

Quoted: I feel bad for that dude he was ill prepared from the start. He allowed himself to be embarrassed. He was missing Mu-shin Proper breaking technique Follow through of strike/s Improper Kai (failed to charge his batteries) Why did he need chicken with sesame sauce? Oh nevermind, it probably helps to break shit with a full stomach. How many bricks can you beat up? |
