I got some news yesterday. My Grandmother has Lung Cancer. And it is very bad. She is too weak for Chemo and for Surgery. The doctor gives her 6 months to a year provided she doesn't get sick or her heart racing.
And maybe this really isn't the place to talk about it. But I'm sure there are those of you that still have grandmothers. I'm very close to mine. Cause she is more than a grandmother. she's more like a mom to me and always has been.
I know that death will come to us eventually. But,it's hard to deal with in any case. She's been the only family member that I have bonded with. My uncle called my dad and told him the news. And all he could say was "keep me posted".
I'm just sad and needed to vent. I do apologize for depressing you if I have. It's just a rough time for me right now. And it doesn't help with the_beer_slayer out of town.
If there is someone you haven't talked to in a while,or told them that you loved them. Right now would be a good time. As you never know if they are going to be there tomorrow.

I am sorry to hear this.  I know exactly what you are going through.  My Grandma was rushed to the hospital, near death, last week.  They thought it was congestive heart failure, but it turned out to "only" be pneumonia.  I called her tonight and she sounded pretty good.  She is my last grandparent.  She also pretty much raised me beginning at age 5.  She will be 88 in July.  Last year it was a stroke.  One of these times . . . Again, I am sorry about yours.  I hope you can spend time with her now.  Tell her the things you should.  Mine loves to hear what a strong influence she has been on me.  Best wishes.

We're going to see my Grandmother the 1st weekend in May. She just means the world to me. And thank you guys for being here. I've been calling her non stop it seems. But,I have to make sure she is okay.
As I am going to make the most of the time she does have left on this world.
