Just watched ALIEN - I forgot just how freaking awesome this movie was. So does the alien rape Lambert or not? I watched it the other night and I was thinking about coming on here and asking that very question. Apparently this is widely discussed, or thats the idea I get from all the google results

Ridley Scott is going to re-boot the franchise with 2 new Alien prequels.
He wants it to be way nastier then the first breakout thriller of 1979. Ridley wants to tell the story of how the "Space Jockey" got to LV-426. He is requesting $150M from FOX to finish both films. Deep pockets+Ridley Scott+Alien script = WIN |

When I lived in Germany, a buddy and I took the trip south to Switzerland to see Geiger's museum. Got to see the origional suit he made for Alien as well as the painting "Necronomicon IV". This is the painting that Ridley Scott saw and inspired the Alien creature for the movie. http://api.ning.com/files/cLTiBs4ddZfRaxcqaO5hqSZKW2qe71di4FZBhBNT9xdOI8GPNaQtKCRcmmvR8PiPRvEla90Dzf6NNOegWMR8il55kR55Qd*d/NecronomiconIV.jpg

I remember when I first saw it at the theater––the stink of fear in the audience was obvious. A few weeks later I was back in MO on vacation, and took a group of friends to see it. During the chestburster scene, the guy next to me stood up, groaned loudly just as John Hurt's chest burst, and passed out cold on his feet. He scared the crap out of the audience (and us too). We had to drag the guy to the mens' room, turned out he'd ingested some recreational substance before the movie. You must understand, nobody had seen the like in 1979.
I even had a ship's crew hat, USCSS Nostromo, IIRC, had a cool patch and scrambled eggs on the brim. I lost it at the theater. ETA: Interesting, you can still get the patch: http://www.amazon.com/ALIEN-Movie-U-S-C-S-S-Nostromo-PATCH/dp/B003NGA54Y |

I feel like it's hard to compare Alien to Aliens, just because the whole concept of each movie is different. Aliens is more Kick Ass action thriller, where Alien is more of a psychological brooding horror movie that plays more into the rear of being alone with somehting like that.
I love them both. |

What other two movies? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile 1st movie was a pure horror film that happened to be set in space, 2nd was more of a sci-fi action/adventure movie. I loved both and couldn't pick a favorite. |

Just watched ALIEN - I forgot just how freaking awesome this movie was. So does the alien rape Lambert or not? Yes. Her clothes are removed when Ripley finds the bodies. Wait, what? It doesn't make mention of that in the book or the movie. + I dont remember this either? |

When the first one came out I was still pretty young and It scared the shit at of me had nightmares for awhile after that... It scared the hell out of everyone on the set. None of the actors actually knew what was going to happen so the reactions in the movie are exactly what they got on the first take. Saw that on some Holloween special a couple years ago. |

I fucking LOVE Alien and ALIENS First one was definitely a different type of movie than #2... Aliens is one of my favorite action/horror movies, but ALIEN and the horror suspense is just a cut above. Quoted:

Yea I remember that too. Gotta hand it to Ridley, he wanted that scene to be memorable and really show fear, so he came up with a way to do it right. God bless the man. As for the movie, as big a pussy this makes me sound like, I couldn't watch it alone in the dark until I was like 23 or 24. lol But now I love it. I watch it all the time and I'm literally in awe of how amazing this movie is for being what? 30 years old or close to it - And still it manages to scare the shit out of people like it's the original release date. Definitely one of the finest horror movies ever made. Oh yea, Aliens: Special Edition for the win. Best movie ever |

I remember the scene, it seems implied but there is no evidence to support it. Please elaborate.

The second one was BEST. Hey Vasquez, have you ever been mistaken for a man? "No. Have you?" Awesome. How do I get out of this chickenshit outfit? After every IDPA walkthrough, I have to bite my tounge to keep from quoting that line when the Match Director asks, "any questions?" |

loved that scene, " maybe we got em demoralized"
