I worked the Gwar concert last night in Philly.
Three showers later, and I'm still covered in fake blood. Damn, what a fun show.

Nope.
Although, I did work at Bam's club, "the Note" when "life of agony" played there. Everytime some asshole started shit in the pit, and I went to throw them out, I was told "he's ok, he's Bams friend" so, I stopped giving a shit, and watched the band. One of my guys threw Bam out of the Electric Factory. He didn't have a pass, was trying to go back stage. He told my guy " Fuck you! I'm Bam, I don't need a pass!" tried to push past, Josh gripped him up, and tossed him out the fucking door! He can be a real "jackass!"
I see them all the time. Dunn is the only one that knows how to act around other people. |

I have a leather jacket that I bought in the mid 80's and wore to a GWAR show in VA in the early 90's and it is still red where the leather was worn Another GWAR story was I once knocked Techno Destructo flat at a Murphy's Law show in Richmond. He kept coming way to the back and smashing into everyone. I was just trying to hang with my girlfriend and drink a beer while watching the show. After a few times of getting hit went after him punching him in the face. He fell into the crowd and crawled away. After he was gone I realized I went after him with my left hand holding my beer and my girlfriend in a headlock |

1st Avenue in Minneapolis used to give you a couple random tickets for upcoming events when you went in to see a show. One time I scored a Jim Rose Sideshow ticket and one for GWAR!
I figured, "What the hell?" and went. It was an interesting show for sure. I watched from the balcony so I wouldn't get various bodily fluids on me.

They are from my hometown. Not a fan. Would it sway you to know that they "killed" lady gaga last night?? Funny, but no. I hung out at a chicks house that was the girlfriend of one of the band members one evening...they are as weird in their personal lives as they are on stage. |

To do what they do, I think you would have to be one very, very, strange person. |

Quoted: Most of us who know who they are are getting old, plus its hard to find someone you trust to leave the kids with to go out for the night.Quoted: There was a GWAR concert in Philly last night?? WTF?? Yup. At The Electric Factory. They only pre sold 450 tickets! The place holds 2250. Nothing has been selling well. There was about 1000 people there with walk ups. |

Saw them in '96 at the Oriental Theater in Milwaukee. There was a huge Samoan dude, like 500-600lbs, beating the crap out of anyone that bumped into him in the pit. Tossed around the first three security guard that tried to eject him. Took about 10 guys to finally force him out.
I think I still have the t-shirt that I wore, all stained in red and green fake blood. |

I saw them last year when they came to Cincy. I'm not into their music but went to see them for their stage show, and it was awesome! I didn't stand too close because I didn't want to get drenched, the only time I got sprayed is when they popped the head of an effigy that looked like Obama..... ![]() |
