Israelis nab Hamas chief 19apr02 ISRAELI troops today arrested a military leader of the radical Islamic group Hamas, Hossam Atef Ali Badran, and killed three other Palestinian suspects in a West Bank operation, Israeli military and Palestinian sources said. The army said in a statement it had captured Badran, one of the West Bank leaders of Hamas's military arm, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, and killed other Palestinians in the raid, east of Nablus. Palestinian residents of the village of Beit Hassan, 10 kilometres east of the northern West Bank city said the three were killed when Israeli helicopters fired machine-guns at a house in a village orchard. See article at:http://www.sundaytimes.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,7034,4161330%255E401,00.html How can they possibly justify withdrawing from the West Bank when they've gotten so good at capturing these hoodlums? How long will it take for Yasser & Co. to capture some IDF soldiers so they can negotiate an exchange of prisoners? I guess it's hard to plan something like that when the chief goons are locked up. [;)]

Here's a picture of the POS: And the caption for the pic: Hassam Badran, a leader of the Hamas militant organization, is seen in this photo from the first week of April 2002. An Israeli military spokesman said Badran was netted in a military operation in the village of Beit Hassan near Nablus, Thursday, April 18, 2002. The spokesman said that Badran was responsible for some of the worst recent suicide attacks against Israel and he was allegedly involved in the bombing of a Jewish Passover celebration in Netanya on March 27 which triggered the largest Israeli military operation in two decades.
